PLYMOUTH, Mass. — Bay Colony Baseball & Athletics LLC, the parent company of the Plymouth River Eels, announced recently that Rogers & Gray Insurance Agency, Inc. has joined its growing family of corporate sponsors. The South Dennis-based insurance and financial services agency has partnered with the Plymouth independent baseball team as a valued "Pilgrim" Sponsor for the River Eels’ inaugural professional baseball season.

The mission of Bay Colony Baseball and Athletics, LLC is to bring professional independent baseball to Plymouth with a 5,000-seat stadium to be constructed on a 28-acre parcel at Colony Place in West Plymouth. The $34.5 million project plans include adjoining office space and a small convention center.

"The addition of the Rogers & Gray Insurance Agency as the newest sponsor of the River Eels clearly demonstrates the agency’s - and the team’s - involvement and commitment to the people of Southeastern Massachusetts," said Tom O’Brien, president and CEO of Bay Colony Baseball and Athletics.

In committing to a long-term Pilgrim level sponsorship, Rogers & Gray will work with the River Eels on multi-tiered marketing approach inside the stadium and co-marketing opportunities in wide range of print and electronic media.

"As a company based in southeastern Massachusetts with a long history of serving the public and our communities, we look forward to a bright future for the Plymouth area and a bright future for our agency and our relationship with the River Eels," said Charles N. Robinson, president and CEO of Rogers & Gray.

The Rogers & Gray Insurance Agency joins Tracy Chevrolet of Plymouth in the growing number of area businesses actively supporting the River Eels as they bring professional independent baseball to Plymouth.
