The South Shore continues to grow in all areas; population, income, housing starts, etc. Plymouth County is the fifth fastest growing county in the state. The Route 3 corridor from Quincy to Cape Cod continues to be a destination for both transplants from around the country as well as from right here in Massachusetts. In the general vicinity of the town Plymouth, residential and commercial growth are in overdrive.
Plymouth needs a destination to keep tourists in town to really see and experience all that it has to offer.
In order to create a new destination for families, business, tourists, and sports enthusiasts in Southeastern Massachusetts, Bay Colony Baseball and Athletics is developing the following components of our project:
- The crown jewel of our project is a state-of-the-art open-air Baseball Stadium. Designed by world-renowned architects HOK Sport+Venue+Event of St. Louis, the stadium will incorporate the local flavors of Plymouth and New England as well as traditional and high-tech amenities. It will include seating for 5,000 fans and feature 20 luxury suites. With additional viewing areas, the total capacity will be 6,000.
- With direct access to the stadium, we are building a 10,000 square foot Convention Center. The Southeast Massachusetts region is desperate for conference and exhibition space, and our flexible center will accommodate trade shows, conferences, expos, weddings, banquets, meetings, and more.
- Overlooking the first base line in right field, the stadium will include a Picnic Pavilion. With a capacity of 300, the pavilion will be a fantastic location for corporate, community, and family outings.
- With local office space also in great demand, our 3-story, 30,000 square foot Office Building will be one of the few places in the country where office space not only includes general office amenities, but also spectacular views into the stadium.
